S Griffiths Refrigeration Specailists have been conducting our own survey into refrigeration maintenance and its effectiveness, we compared refrigeration systems across many commercial applications in the Gold Coast that have regular maintenance to those that do not. Information was taken from our refrigeration mechanics reports during refrigeration breakdown issues and pre planned refrigeration maintenance.
The most expensive part of your refrigeration system is the refrigeration compressor, many factors result in the good and efficient operation of this vital organ. Lubricated by refrigerant oil and running for 20 hours per day it really does need to be in tip top condition. the reliability of the refrigeration compresssor really does depend on good refrigeration maintenance.
keeping the condenser coils clean will result in correct condensing temperatures allowing the refrigerant to change state at an acceptable pressure thus reducing the strain on the refrigeration compressor. Checking the bearings on the condenser fan will maintain good operation.
The refrigeration evaporator needs to be checked for super heat function and also fan opperation, the lack of air across the refrigeration evaporator will allow liquid refrigerant to return to the compressor causing maximum damage and almost certain replacement of your refrigeration compressor.
Failure of refrigeration controls linked with low gas levels restrict the effeicency of your refrigeration unit causing high power bills and increased running times of the refrigeration compressor and damage to major components.
Most of our customers with maintenance contracts experience less call outs and lower running costs. Our refrigeration mechanics pride themselves on there sceduled refrigeration services where all mechanical and electrical parts are tested.
The conclusion of our refrigeration survey resulted in good maintenance doesnt just cost IT PAYS!!
